Lori's Favorite Things

So I have lots of friends and family members that have had babies (or are going to have babies) and I have been emailing them neat things for babies such as a way to get free books, great photography deals, etc. Well, I got to thinking since we are in a mini-baby boom right now, there may be other moms out there who would like to know about these things as well. Since I can't email everyone, and some of my friends & family may get tired of the emails, I thought our family blog would be a great place to post the info.

So here are a few of Lori's Favorite Things for babies:

Free book each month from birth to age five from Imagination Library
Dolly Parton and United Way have teamed up to give children a free book each month until the child's fifth birthday---but this is not available in all counties so check the website

Greeting from the President of the United States
Just follow the guidelines online and the white house will send you a greeting for the birth of your child--you can only apply for this sometime between birth and when your child turns one year old.

Holified Photography Baby Panel
Holifield is a very nice photography studio that normally costs quite a bit of money to have pictures done; however, they run a special to have your child's picture taken at 4 months, 8 months, and 12 months. For your $29, they let you choose one picture from each session and they matte all three pictures after the 12th month photo session. Of course, they take adorable pictures and it is hard to get out the door without wanting to buy them all and being $100's of dollars poorer.

Personalized Frames
I got this beautiful personalized frame from one of my good friends for my 30th birthday (thanks Stephanie!) and I just loved the idea! In the top left corner it has our last name and then it has Dan, my and our children's names repeating over and over around the frame. I can't wait to put our first family photo in it!

That's it for now, but as I come across other baby and family things, I promise to post more of "Lori's Favorite Things"!
