Warren is one month old today and has settled quite nicely into the Hancock household. He is growing at an amazing rate. I know babies grow, but since I am with him every day, I don't always notice it. Just yesterday I grabbed one of my favorite sleepers that his Granny and Aunt gave him at the hospital. A month ago the outfit swallowed him up, but yesterday when I put it on him, his feet were pushing at the toes, his knees were all bunched up and it was tight at his shoulders. I was astonished that he had grown that much since he last wore it!
Warren is doing his best to let his Mom and Dad get as much rest as they can, but he still wants to eat around 2 AM and again around 6 AM. Veronica amazingly sleeps through the night time activity. I am not even sure she realized mom, dad, and the baby got up in the middle of night until last night. Around 12:30 PM, a major thunderstorm came through and woke her up. I had Dan bring her into our room because I thought the lightning had gotten her monitor (turns out it just flipped it and didn't ruin the whole thing). So she was in our bed last night and witnessed Warren's night time feedings for the first time. I just hope now we don't have two children getting up on a nightly basis.
I am almost 30 (as of tomorrow, April 5th), and Daniel, Veronica and Warren gave me my present today. I got an awesome Flip Video, which is a tiny (size of my iPhone) video camera that I can carry around everywhere and take video of my darling family. So be on the look out for videos on this site in addition to all of our photos!
